You'll notice that the ingredient amounts are very vague. That's because you can never tell if the onions are strong or the chilies are hot. I like the cliantro and lime flavors so I add even more. Unlike a baking recipe, this is a recipe you can play with and adjust to your tastes. Have fun!
INGREDIENTS:
Tomatoes..... 1 can (28ozs) (peeled, whole, chrushed, or diced)
Garlic..... 2-3 cloves
Chilies.....2-4 jalapeno or serrano
Onion......2-3 Tbs chopped (medium-fine)
Cilantro.....2-3 Tbs fresh, chopped
Juice of 1-2 limes
PREP:
Cut the chilies and remove most of the seeds. Put them in a food processor with the garlic, and juice. Process until fine. Add the tomatoes. Process briefly.
Transfer to a bowl. Add the onions and cilantro and stir. Put in fridge to chill.
It must be five o'clock somewhere, so break out the blender, it's 'Margarita Time'!
